THREE children were among six casualties injured in a road collision.
One of the victims, a woman in her 50s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The children and two other women recieved minor injuries in the two-vehicle collision, which happened on the A5118 in Llong near Mold yesterday.
Fire, police and ambulance services were called just before 4pm to reports of a road crash near the Padeswood Golf Club between Padeswood Road South and the A541.
The vehicles involved were a blue Peugeot 206 and a 4x4.
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesman said they were called at 3.48pm to reports of a two-vehicle road collision.
“A paramedic in a rapid response car and four emergency ambulances attended, and a woman in her 50s with serious injuries, a woman in her 20s with minor injuries, and a woman and three children with minor injuries, were taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital.”
A spokesman for North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said they made the cars safe while ambulance crews transported the injured to hospital.
Police closed the road in both directions while officers worked at the scene.
