HEAVY rain has spelled flooding across Wrexham and Flintshire this morning.
Firefighters from Llangollen pulled a woman in a car from to safety after she got stuck in floodwater on the A5 between Froncysyllte and Chirk at 7.10am.
Parts of the village along the A541 adjacent to the river have so far been affected with drivers forced to slow down due to the increasing levels of surface water.
A statement issued by Natural Resources Wales, formerly known as the Environment Agency, at 7.30am read: "River levels at Pontblyddyn are rising and are expected to do so for the next four hours.
"In addition, some localised flooding problems may result from surface water."
