Wrexham avoided a potential upset as they beat Conference North side Solihull Moors 3-2 in the second round of the FA Trophy at The Racecourse.
Despite Wrexham bossing the game, they fell behind in the 38th minute when Junior English scored with an unstoppable 25-yard drive.
But Wrexham were soon back on level terms as Jay Harris played in Brett Ormerod who slotted past keeper Jasbir Singh.
The second half began in similar fashion with Wrexham on top but Solihull were back in the lead on 58 minutes as English converted when a corner wasn't cleared.
Wrexham's response was immediate as substitute Adrian Cieslewicz levelled with a close range strike and captain Dean Keates put the Reds ahead for the first time after 65 minutes with a successful penalty after player-boss Andy Morrell was brought down in the area.
WREXHAM (4-4-2): Coughlin; Alfei, Devine, Riley, Hunt; Harris, Keates, Clarke; Ogleby (Cieslewicz 14), Ormerod, Morrell (Reid 75). Subs not used: Walker, Rushton, Colbeck.
