Player-boss Andy Morrell rang the changes but Wrexham still proved too strong for Rushall Olympic.
A comfortable 5-0 victory over the Evo-Stik Premier Division outfit enabled Wrexham to reach the second round of the FA Trophy at The Racecourse and extend the unbeaten run to three games.
Wrexham were in control after scoring two early goals in quick succession, Morrell finding the back of the net on both occasions after 15 and 17 minutes.
Rushall, who ply their trade two divisions below Wrexham, hadn't given up and enjoyed their spells of pressure but they saw Hakeem Islam sent off on the hour mark after the striker was shown a second yellow card following a foul on Adrian Cieslewicz.
And Wrexham made it 3-0 in the 67th minute, Rob Ogleby could have gone for goal but he unselfishly picked out Cieslewicz who found the net with a back heel.
Morrell went on to complete his hat-trick one minute from time when he slotted home after keeper Chris Gemmell spilled Declan Walker's corner to make it 4-0.
The fifth goal arrived in added time, Walker finding the net after being played in by Morrell.
