SIX-SHOOTERS Trefnant can still end 2010 off the foot of the table.
Despite being docked six points for postponing matches this year, the Duncan Midgley-inspired side are now just a point adrift of second-from-bottom Caerwys.
For the Flintshire side, the result means that they’ve failed to pick up a single point away from home this season.
But hopes were high in the Caerwys camp that they could come away with something when they led 2-1 at the break.
Richie Roberts’ penalty, awarded for a handball in the box, had Caerwys on the scoreboard and a deflected Geraint Jones strike from the edge of the box gave the John Owens and Shaun Davies managed outfit the lead.
Then came a masterstroke as Trefnant introduced substitute Duncan Midgley into the fray - and within a quarter-of-an-hour he had turned the match on its head.
Midgley scored four times during this period to play a major part as Trefnant ended their eight-match losing run.
Also on the scoresheet for Trefnant were Francis Roberts and Russ Vaughan.
Caerwys did have other chances as Nick Voyle, Jake Spencer and Kalum Davies all went close.
For the visitors, Tom Smith was their man of the match for his display at full back.
