HUNDREDS of devoted fans are expected to descend on a Chester nightspot as X Factor finalist Olly Murs rolls into town this spring.
Cruise Nightclub, on St John Street, Chester, will play host to Olly Murs, star of ITV’s hit show, on Friday, April 9, fresh from the sell out X Factor live tour.
Oliver “Olly” Stanley Murs, 25, shot to fame in series six of the X Factor and narrowly missed out on the top spot after he was pipped at the post by Joe McElderry.
He was praised throughout the series for being a consummate performer, a singer, dancer and actor.
During the TV singing contest mentor Simon Cowell said: “I really, really like you. You’re very, very, very good.”
And fellow judge Danii Minogue called him “a true performer”.
Olly, from Essex, will be performing live in the Svenksa club room on the night and Cruise has offered fans the chance to meet and greet Olly after his performance without any extra charge.
The performance marks one of many Friday night events being held by the Chester nightspot.
In a bid to bring unique talent and entertainment to the city, nightclub owners are putting on a series of live performances and celebrity personal appearances, which also includes top TV star Scott Maslen who was voted ‘sexiest male’ at the British Soap Awards.
The EastEnder will be performing on Friday, April 23.
