A POET from Flintshire will autograph her work at a signing session.

Elene Humphreys, 64, has been working on Reflections for more than two decades and will meet fans at Mold library.

“It’s very exciting that I will be signing my book,” said Elene, from Treuddyn.

“It was my idea to do it but the library have been very supportive and put lots of posters up.”

Elene, who is retired, began her career as a shorthand writer at Chester and Mold crown courts.

She started writing poetry as a child and had her first carol published in the Lancashire Evening Post at the age of eight.

“I’ve never looked back,” said Elene, a member of Mold Writers’ Club. “It’s something I have always been interested in.”

The works includes ‘Reflections’ about the highlights in her hair and Elene’s personal favourite, ‘The Washer Woman’.

Supported by her husband and friends, Elene will be signing her book at the library on Saturday, February 6 between 12.30pm and 2.30pm.

Copies of the book will cost £6. For more information call Mold Library on 01352 754791.
