A Gresford couple has celebrated their 65th Wedding anniversary recently.
Malcolm and Betty Roberts have been celebrating their Blue Sapphire anniversary, which was on March 30, at Cherrytree Care Home where they live together.
The couple met and got married in Birmingham on March 30, 1957. They went on to have a son, Dean, and daughter Tina before moving back to Gresford. They then had a second daughter named Jacqueline.
Malcolm worked for Ainscough as a crane driver and Betty worked at Alyn Family Doctors.
They spent many holidays visiting their two daughters who lived overseas in California and Dubai and loved spending time with their five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and their families.
They now are together in Cherrytree Care Home which the family says has the most amazing staff and facilities and they love it there as they can continue to live happily together.
They have also received their card from the Queen.
A statement from their family said: “It’s lovely to see mum and dad so happy together in Cherrytree and reaching this wonderful milestone.”
Congratulations Malcolm and Betty!
