Jarrod Rawlinson, chairman (in video above), said: "This is all funded by ourselves and it's all for charity.

"It's going to be great, it's on your doorstep and the key thing is by coming along, you're helping raise money for charity too which is what it's all about.

"We are grateful to all the team at Deeside Leisure Centre for facilitating the event, which will be the first year we have taken it over from the fire service."

The group is part of a national organisation which aims to bring people together in their local area and raise money for both local and national causes.

Members of the Deeside Round Table and Deeside Ladies Circle have been taking the time to get their hands dirty and hand-make a specially made chocolate just for the event from Precious Chocolates, based in Shotton.

Carl Stuart Gillard, owner of Precious Chocolates, has been a member for 12 months and he said he is proud the group is making their own chocolate from scratch for the night, which will include samples of milk chocolate and dark chocolate.

He added: "It's a pleasure to be a member of the Round Table. It's an absolute pleasure to know them and have them as friends, they do so much for the community and are a great bunch.

"We are the only company who makes everything from scratch and I think people are going to enjoy it."

Attendees can enjoy a fireworks display - by Bright Sparks, a bonfire, live music, a funfair and original chocolate from the area.

Those wishing to attend can do so online and can also have the chance to win back their money amongst other prizes.

Jarrod told the Leader: "Some of us have never made chocolate before, it's been messy but good fun.

"I think it's important because we are all Deesiders ourselves and we are putting something back into the community.

"How unique is it to have in our area, someone who is as renowned in his industry as Carl and he's making something completely off his own back, bespoke for the area. It's a great chance to come and sample that."

The event will be held at the Deeside Leisure Centre on November 3 between 6pm and 9pm and the Table is already planning ideas for its annual Christmas Float.
