She was given the opportunity to take part in the Junior Journal day by her Wrexham COE coach Gemma Owen, who put her name forward.

The Football Association of Wales got in touch with Gemma, looking for any particularly confident girls in her group who could be good ambassadors for women's football.

On the day she was given the opportunity to hang out with the National Team squad, observe a training session with Wales boss Ryan Giggs and interviewed defender Connor Roberts.

Sophie Russell, Nanci's mum, said: "Nanci absolutely loved meeting Wales and Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs, being a United fan that was nice, also Real Madrid super star Gareth Bale, young Chelsea star Ethan Ampdu and ex-Wrexham footballers Joe Allen and Danny Ward.

"Nanci most enjoyed the press conference, asking the players questions and of course the full recorded interview with the awesome defender Connor Roberts.

"They laughed giggled and he showed Nanci his left footed wonder goal and he went on to say if Nanci practices maybe one day she could play for Wales.

"The day was very special and the hotel stay and lunch with the media team was pretty cool too.

"We thank Gemma so much for this opportunity as if it wasn't for her it never would have happened."
