A PAEDOPHILE with multiple convictions for making and possessing indecent images of children has appeared in court for failing to comply with sex offender notification requirements.
Craig Horsfield, 33, pleaded guilty at Mold Crown Court to breaking the terms of an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order after he used a smart phone in Wrexham this year and refused to make it available to police officers.
The court heard Horsfield, appearing from custody but originally from Cardiff, was jailed for 14 months at Cardiff Crown Court in December 2017 on three counts of possessing indecent images of children.
An order was made for his phone to be destroyed and he was told to comply with notification requirements for 10 years.
Judge Rhys Rowlands told Horsfield he would remain in custody and return to Mold Crown Court on October 25 during which time his phone would be investigated to see if further allegations should be put to him.
