LLANDUDNO Albion moved into sixth spot in the Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division One standings thanks to a hard-fought 1-0 victory at in-form Bodedern Athletic.

The title hopefuls produced a resolute display on their travels against an Athletic side who have firmly found their feet in the third tier following promotion last term, and Albion will be aiming to build on this positive victory when they are next in action at Barmouth and Dyffryn United.

A tense opening to proceedings saw both sides waste good opportunities to grab the initiative, but the crucial moment arrived on 72 minutes when prolific forward Dave Maddock produced another excellent finish to put the visitors in the ascendancy.

Despite being put under intense and consistent pressure in the closing stages, the Albion rearguard held firm to secure their third away success in five outings this term.

Division Two title hopefuls Glan Conwy left it late before eventually securing a 1-1 draw at Pentraeth.

The home side managed to gain the upper hand just before the interval when Iwan Pugh converted a chance on 40 minutes, but Glan managed to rescue a point on their travels when Connor Phillips hit the target with a minute remaining.
