LLANDUDNO Athletic moved to the top of the Vale of Clwyd and Conwy League Premier Division standings with a 4-1 win at Rhuddlan Town.

The early pacesetters made a bright opening to the contest and opened the scoring after 26 minutes when Nathan Williams found the net, but Wayne Edward Hughes’ men hit back almost instantly thanks to a Jordan Bellham effort with 31 gone.

Athletic regained the advantage shortly after when another period of pressure resulted in Williams notched his second of the afternoon on 37 minutes, and they crucially doubled their advantage following the interval when Craig Roberts converted a chance five minutes from the hour mark.

The home side tried hard to get back into the contest but were able to find a way past the resolute Athletic rearguard, and they wrapped up the points after 86 minutes when Joe Roberts rounded off the scoring.

Machno United continued their resurgence with an eye-catching 4-1 triumph at Abergele.

A brace from Callum Parry did the majority of the damage, with Owain Jones and Luke Roberts completing the rout as United built on their success over Llansannan last week.

Ambitious Llanfairfechan Town picked up their second successive victory as a solitary goal from Ryan Dodd was enough to give them a 1-0 home win over Bro Cernyw, with a Dafydd Baldry strike two minutes from time giving Cerrigydrudion a 3-2 success at Old Colwyn.
