FLINTSHIRE has fallen victim to another attack on their fallen soldiers memorials.
The Silent Soldier statue, which was installed in the centre of Penyffordd on Harwaden Road last weekend, is thought to have been stolen overnight on September 6.
It comes just weeks after Mold's Silent Soldier statue was damaged by being bent and scratched and a new one had to be made by local blacksmiths.
The 'Silent Soldiers' are being installed all around the country as part of a British Legion campaign to mark 100 years since the ending of the First World War.
Anyone with information about the theft in Penyffordd should call police on 101, quoting reference W128099.
