THERE were celebrations when the Lord Mayor of Chester Cllr Alex Black officially opened a new Asian food trade counter in Chester.
There was Lion Dancing by Liverpool's Hung Gar Kung Fu Association and a demonstration by Wirral and Chester Taekwondo as Zing Asia on Bumpers Lane opened its doors to the public.
Zing Asia is a trading name of Mia's Accessories Ltd, a small family business which has been trading for 11 years under the control of Ian and Mia Doherty.
Mia's Accessories Ltd is an online retailer and, due to expansion, has moved its internet operations into a new build unit on the former site of Tile Giant.
Zing Asia will now be able to offer businesses, the people of Chester and North Wales access to Asian food supplies, eliminating the need to make special trips to Liverpool or Manchester.
