RESIDENTS have been invited to a theatre’s first every Gin festival to showcase local Welsh products.

Theatr Clwyd has teamed up with the Dolphin Hotel in Mold to host the Gin and Prosecco Festival and local food suppliers.

The focus is firmly on Welsh products, including Conwy’s Aber Falls Distillery, North Star, the smallest in Wales and the first to open in the area for one hundred years and Snowdonia Spirit Company.

The Anglesey Brewing Company and the Dinorwig Distillery are also amongst those who will be attending to exhibit their drinks and answer questions.

A spokesman for the Dolphin Hotel, said: “It’s a pleasure to have this opportunity to develop our relationship with Theatr Clwyd, which began with an unforgettable production of The Great Gatsby.

“It’s important to showcase the innovative new distilleries in Wales, which are already making a significant contribution and bringing real benefits to the local economic and tourism infrastructure.

“With some fabulous entertainment in the mix, we’re looking forward to a very special afternoon at the theatre.”

The day will also feature cocktail masterclasses, led by mixologists from The Alchemist in Chester and live music from Corcovado Three featuring Helena, who re-located to North Wales 15 years ago as well as Kitty Crema.

Tickets and details are available from the box office on 01352 701 521 or online at www.theatrclwyd.com.

The event is open to anyone aged 18 and over, with tickets costing £10.
