A YOUNG man has been sentenced after admitting burglary.
Connor Birchall-Roberts, 18, of Heol Cadfan, Coedpoeth pleaded guilty to committing the burglary at a property in Heol Offa, also Coedpoeth, when he appeared at Mold Crown Court.
Birchall-Roberts struck on Friday, May 25, when the rear door of the property was forced, and he made an untidy search, stealing a number of bike helmets, gloves and jewellery.
A forensic examination of the scene recovered blood left inside the property and the offender was identified.
On Friday he was sentenced to 869 days, approximately two years and four months, in a youth offending institution.
Wrexham Rural Inspector Steve Owens said: “I am very pleased with the custodial sentence.
"The fact that Birchall-Roberts committed this offence as an adult, having recently turned 18, has ensured it attracted an appropriate sentence.
"The community in and around the Coedpoeth area will welcome this sentence. North Wales Police will continue to pursue those causing the most harm, in line with the Police and Crime Commissioners priorities.”
