TOP Welsh comedian Rhod Gilbert has extended his new eagerly-anticipated ‘Book of John’ tour by adding a second date at the Wrexham William Aston Hall.

The new date, on Friday, February 1 2019, is the second to be announced at the venue in the past week – with tickets going on sale from tomorrow, July 25 at 10am.

The move comes after a number of fans took to social media complaining they were unable to purchase tickets for the original date on Saturday, February 2 with some claiming that tickets had sold out by the time they were supposed to go on sale from the venue's website and that many tickets had been bought up by secondary ticket agencies where they were being sold at inflated prices.

As a result William Aston Hall have provided the following statement for those wishing to buy tickets:

"There are a number of ticket restrictions placed on the show which buyers need to be aware of. For this show at the William Aston Hall, there is a limit of four tickets per booking. On the night, ID will need to be shown to enter the auditorium – and that ID must match the named ticket holder. Absolutely no tickets are to be sold on secondary ticketing sites - any tickets found to be advertised on such sites will be cancelled and no refund given.

"For the 824 capacity venue, tickets will be available in three places only: The Wrexham Glynd?r University Box Office, Ticketline and Ticketmaster.

"The walk-in box office will have 100 tickets available, Ticketline will have 500 tickets available online and over the phone and Ticketmaster will have the remaining 224 tickets.

"Ticketline can be found at www.glyndwr.ticketline.co.uk and called on 08448889991 *calls charges at 7p per minute."
