PLANS for hundreds of new homes in Buckley have been refused.
Flintshire Council's planning committee met this afternoon to discuss proposals for 435 houses and a large retail store on Spon Green Farm.
The application has received criticism from residents, with concerns including the impact on schools, health services, traffic, the green barrier and utilities among others.
It was confirmed at about 3pm today that the planning committee voted to follow the recommendation of Flintshire Council planning officers by unanimously refusing permission for the scheme.
The committee then opted to unanimously refuse plans for up to 100 homes on Megs Lane in Buckley, as per the recommendations of Flintshire Council's planning officers.
Next up is proposals to build up to 100 houses on Megs Lane, Buckley, which are also recommended for refusal.
