A COASTGUARD team was called out following concerns for the safety of a person on a bridge.
Flint Coastguard Rescue Team confirmed a call was received just after midday today reporting a person on the wrong side of the railings on the Flintshire Bridge in Connah’s Quay.
The coastguard team attended the scene where they liaised with colleagues from North Wales Police, who had searched both sides of the bridge and had spoken to the first informant.
A spokesman for Flint Coastguard Rescue Team said: "It was established that person had either walked off the bridge or jumped down onto a grass embankment."
The area was searched by the team but nothing untoward was found.
Flint Coastguard Rescue Team added the first call received appears to have been made with good intent.
