A WREXHAM town centre multi-storey car park has closed for the second time in three years, seemingly without warning.

The 360-space St Marks Road site, off Regent Street, had been operated by Britannia Parking Group since September 2016, having been closed for a full year prior to their takeover.

Last week, members of the public noticed the gates to the car park were padlocked shut, with access still available to the smaller outdoor parking area to the side of the building, but no machines with which to pay.

Commercial Development Manager Mark Watts confirmed the company was no longer running the car park but said he understood there will be one the site in the future.

He said: "After having traded at St Marks Road for two years, it is simply a case that our tenure there has come to an end."

Mr Watts was not able to provide any further information about a potential successor company and having contacted Wrexham Borough Council for comment, they have not been able to shed any further light on sites future.
