Year 2 pupils at Southdown Primary School travelled to the Horse and Jockey pub to meet local people who are all struggling with memory loss.

The meeting forms part of the school's intergenerational scheme that sees the pupils take part in different projects and trips involving elderly people.
The pupils read parts of some of their favourite books and poems they have been working on to the delight of those at the memory café.
People suffering from memory loss meet at the pub on the last Wednesday of every month, often coming from local care homes for tea and coffee, as well as activities to engage their brain.
Nicola Shaw, Year 2 teacher, said: ''We brought along some of our favourite reading books and also some poetry as part of our intergenerational projects at the school.
''We had a brilliant afternoon, and I'd like to thank everybody involved.''
