Two Romanian men have pleaded guilty to a robbery at Wrexham’s Regent Street 02 store.
Leonard Gheorge and Ion Marin were warned by Judge Niclas Parry to expect custodial sentences when he adjourned their cases for pre-sentence reports at Mold Crown court.
Gheorge, 27, of Corsewall Street, Liverpool and Marin, 27, of Altcar Avenue, Wavertree, Liverpool admitted robbing Steven McNair, a staff member at the phone store, of five mobile phones worth £3,000.95 on May 21 this year.
A third defendant, who is also charged with a similar offence, failed to appear in court. The judge issued a warrant without bail for David Bucuresteau, 29, of Banner Street, Wavertree, Liverpool.
Judge Parry told Gheorge and Marin: “I give you credit for pleading guilty so early but you will understand it is a custodial sentence.
“But it is right as you are not highly convicted that I know as much about you.”
The cases were adjourned to July 16 and both men were granted conditional bail until then.
