NOTE - DETAIL REQUESTED AS TO LOCATION

POLICE are warning people staying in caravans to be vigilant following a number of break-ins.

As the hot weather is set to continue North Wales Police is advising people staying in caravans to ensure their windows and doors are secure.

The advice comes after three incidents last week where handbags and jewellery, including watches and rings, were stolen from three caravans along the coastal area when windows and doors were left open.

PC 2882 Peter Colley said: “We want to remind caravan owners to take quick and easy steps to ensure their property is secure on these warm evenings.

“Don’t become a victim of crime by giving opportunists the opportunity- leaving windows open and valuables on show.”

Anyone with information relating to the break-ins is asked to call PC Colley on 101 quoting reference 1830006876.
