A BRAND new music event is to be held in Mold.

The all day music festival M-Fest takes place in the heart of Mold on Saturday, July 7.

The event will be held on Kendricks Field in Ruthin Road, Mold, and will be bringing to the stage a host of bands and performances throughout the day.

Performers confirmed for the festival include Kidsmoke, Chasing Shadows, The Immediate alongside local cover bands 50Hertz, Skariad and Hawker, DJs Dave Turner and Rich Lloyd and acoustic performers Joel Anthony, Isabella Crowther and Elina Haf.

The festival will also incorporate stalls, a well stocked bar and food to give visitors an all-round festival experience.

Organisers are advising people to get their tickets soon as like Live on the Square, once pre ticket sales reach the area capacity, entrance can not be guaranteed without a ticket.

Tickets outlets in Mold include 1st floor Office of the Town Hall in Earl Road, Mold Alehouse in Earl Road, KMA Tool Hire at Broncoed Business Park, Bargain Booze in Upper High Street, Costa Coffee (inside) at Applegreen Service Station on Kings St Roundabout.

Protech Supplies Ltd at Catheralls Industrial Estate (Unit 4-5 Brookhill Way, Buckley) is also an outlet for tickets, as are the named bands.

A spokesman said: "M-Fest is targeted towards an adult audience, but families with children are more than welcome to go along to enjoy the music.

"Children under three years are free of charge (no ticket required), but organisers are unable to offer any further concessions on children three years and over.

"Children 16 years and under must be accompanied by an adult and don’t forget it you are lucky enough to look under 25 years old, then ID will be required, so please bring along appropriate ID (driving license, passport)."

M-Fest is organised by a small group of volunteers who pride themselves on delivering fantastic events within the town of Mold. All proceeds from this event go towards putting on community events in Mold.

Mold Carnival will be taking place the next day on Sunday, July 8 and will be on Kendricks Field and in the town centre.
