Hawarden recorded the hottest temperature in the UK on a sweltering Tuesday afternoon.
The Flintshire village was one of only two places - along with Liverpool's John Lennon Airport - to hit 30°c, recording a higher temperature than London and the south of England.
The Hawarden Airport-based weather station was predicted to pick up the highest temperature in Wales today.
But as temperatures soared, so did its place on the list of hottest places for the whole of the UK.
It was unsurprisingly the hottest recorded day in Wales this year, beating the previous highest of 26°c.
