THE date of a tribute night to celebrate a Caia Park 'legend' has been rearranged.

An event to be held at the Centenary Club in Wrexham in memory of FC Queens Park manager Martin Ford, has been put back to August 31.

It had originally been due to be held on August 3, but has been put back four weeks due to unforeseen circumstances.

Mr Ford died suddenly aged 39, in May, leaving behind wife Kelly and young daughter Summer.

Proceeds from the event will be used to help keep FC Queens Park running for next season, and continuing to keep giving youngsters from Caia Park a path to representing the estate in senior football.

All aspects of the fundraising night remain the same - tickets are £5 and doors open at 7.30pm, with Wrexham AFC having donated use of the Centenary Club free of charge and printing the tickets.

Acts featuring on the night will be Colin 'The Hat' Ridgeway, The Scene consisting of Craig Spencer, Gareth Holmes and Anthony Turner.

Luke Gallagher and Terry Allen will also be performing with Mark Jones and Brian Pickup helping out with a set.

Tickets are available from Andy Simon on 07743718726 or Naomi Harrison on 07999265983.

Anyone who has already purchased a ticket can speak to Mr Simon.
