Police in Wrexham are appealing for witnesses after an elderly woman was seriously injured following a collision in a car park.
Shortly before 1.30pm on Saturday, June 2, police received a report that a car had collided with a pedestrian in the Homebase carpark on Plas Coch Road.
An ambulance was called and the pedestrian, who is aged in her 80s, was taken to the Maelor Hospital with what is described as serious injuries.
PC Emma Birrell of the Roads Policing Unit said: “We know there were a lot of people in the area on the day as it was the same day as the Stereophonics concert in the town.
“I am appealing to anybody who may have witnessed the collision which involved a red-coloured Peugeot 3008, to contact us as soon as possible in order to assist with the ongoing investigation.”
