A FLINTSHIRE salon scooped national accolades at the Official National Makeup Awards.

SXY Eyes Brow Lash and Makeup Bar in Flint took home four awards in total from the evening held in Manchester on Sunday 27th May.

Having only been open year and a half, the salon were amazed to find out they had been shortlisted for the National Makeup awards for 2018.

They are delighted to of come home with two salon awards last week, for Regional Makeup Salon of the Year (Wales) and Overall Makeup Salon of the Year.

Last year SXY Eyes were awarded Makeup Salon of the Year at the Welsh Hair and Beauty Awards having only being open for 6 months.

There were also personal accolades for a member of staff, with employee Emily Jane, 23, swooping the awards for Regional Freelance Makeup Artist of the Year (Wales) and National Freelance Makeup Artist of the Year for her Emily Jane Makeup freelance artistry.

Emily said: “I started Emily Jane Makeup when I was 18 with no clue how it would pan out, but I knew I was never going to give up on my dream of making makeup artistry my career. Makeup is my absolute passion and I love my job.

''Thankyou for all my clients over the years, to all my brides, family and everyone who recommends me and supports me.”

Jenna Bonatti, 32, is the founder of Sxy Eyes Brow, Lash and Makeup Bar.

She said: ''In the year and a half we have been open we are overwhelmed by the support of our customers. We have lots more in the pipeline with hopes to expand this year.

We have an amazing team and I have got to say how proud I am of all my girls and what they have achieved In such sort time, we are looking forward to the future.''
