A summer show of work from graduating students at Wrexham Glynd?r University’s School of Creative Arts opens to the public from June 4.

The Regent Street campus will host the event and be held Monday to Friday between 10am and 4pm, running until June 15.

It offers the chance to see a wide range of work from final year students’ degree courses - with a wide array of disciplines and artwork involved.

Professor Alec Shepley, Head of the School of Creative Arts, said the show demonstrates the high levels of both teaching and creative ability at the school, and covers all kinds of fields and marks a culmination of the students' degrees.

He said: "The Summer Show is an event where we, as a school, open our doors to the public and invite them in.

"I know both our academics and our students very much want to extend a warm welcome to anyone who wants to come in and look at the exhibits."

Among artwork featured in the show is photography which has already featured in national newspapers, silverwork and pottery set to be displayed in a UK-wide exhibition in Kew this summer and graphic novels which have drawn a diverse range of backers as Kickstarter projects, among many more.

Family, friends and guests – including employers who have already taken on students from the school, attended a preview evening on May 25.

There is no charge for entry.
