FIVE more men from Neston have been arrested in relation to an incident outside a Parkgate Road pub on the night of Saturday, May 19.

Previously, David Walker, 51, of Spenser Road, Neston, was charged with possession of a firearm, namely a handgun, with intent to cause fear or violence to Harry Saint.

His son Jake Walker, 23, of Mayfield Gardens, Neston, was charged with affray and possession of a bladed article, namely a knife.

The offences are alleged to have happened on Saturday night in Parkgate Road, Neston, near the Greenland Fishery pub, just after 9pm.

Now five more men – two 24-year-olds and an 18-year-old, a 21-year-old and a 23-year-old – have been arrested in connection with the incident on suspicion of affray.

They have all been released on conditional bail pending further enquiries.

Both Walkers had appeared at Chester Magistrates Court on Tuesday and neither entered a plea, speaking only to confirm their names, addresses and dates of birth.

A bail application was put forward for Jake Walker but was refused by magistrates. No bail application was put forward for David Walker.

Both were remanded in custody and their trial date has been set for June 19 at Chester Crown Court.
