LANGUAGE training specialists English in Chester were able to have their way with words at a Storyhouse event last week.

A Language Exchange event was held for international students and Chester residents to meet for an evening of shared conversation and culture.

English in Chester are language training specialists who have been teaching English in the city centre since 1976, welcoming hundreds of students from all over the world year-round.

The event kicked off speed-dating style, encouraging guests to meet as many new faces as possible, chat to one another and find out more about each another.

The second half of the evening focused on language stations created by English in Chester students. Guests could seek out a language or culture that particularly interested them and find out more from the students running the station.

Everybody met dozens of new faces in a fun and buzzing social environment.

Students met native English speakers and found out more about what makes living in Chester so wonderful, while residents met English in Chester’s international student community, learning words and phrases from languages the world over.
