Motorists faced congestion after an incident on the A55 on Friday morning.
Traffic Wales confirmed just after 8.20am that an incident resulted in the closure of a lane on the A55 Westbound at junction 33 Ewloe (A494) to junction 33 Northop (Flint/Mold).
Motorists travelling on the A55 noted "very long tailbacks" and diverted themselves through Hawarden to avoid the delay.
Shortly after 9.30am, Traffic Wales stated that the incident was cleared and the road re-opened.
A spokesman for the Welsh Ambulance Service said: "We were in attendance at incident this morning but no one was conveyed to hospital."
