A mountain blaze saw fire crews battle for hours overnight to extinguish an inferno.
Crews from Wrexham, Mold, Deeside and Llangollen were called to Hope Mountain near the Flintshire / Wrexham border at around 8pm on Thursday night.
They spent a number of hours tackling the large gorse blaze, which was visible for miles around, with hosereel jets until it was extinguished.
This morning, a North Wales Fire and Rescue spokesman said: "A crew is re-attending there this morning and checking for any hotspots while continuing to damp down.
"We should have more details, such as a cause, later today."
