A farming centre could be opened in Bronington after plans were revealed.

The proposal for Cae Bach on Ellesmere Road would see a change of use of farming land to create an education and activity centre for schools.

It would also include the creation of a toilet block, access and parking.

A planning statement says: "The field and agricultural building are currently in use for the purposes of sheep and cattle farming. We would like to invite members of the public to visit the site to take part in education activity days with a farming theme. This is a farm diversification model which integrates the normal agricultural use of the farm with the eduction of children and adults."

A similar plan was previously refused by Wrexham County Borough Council 's planning committee on the grounds of noise and disturbance, however the applicants have removed the wedding venue aspect of that proposal from the new one. It would also not be open on Sundays.

If successful the centre will create one full-time and two part-time jobs.

The couple behind the centre plans currently farm in the Yorkshire Dales where they have successful opened a similar establishment.
