Tributes have been made to a motorcyclist who died following a collision in Wrexham.

Nathan Jones, 48, who came from the Wrexham area died following a road traffic collision on Friday.

The incident between the motorbike and silver Fiat 500 happened on the junction of the A525 and A483 at about 4.10pm.

In a statement, Mr Jones' family said: "We are devastated by the loss of a much loved father, son, brother and uncle. He was full of life and a real character, loving, funny and stubborn too.

"He was a well-known character in the area and well- liked by all who knew him.”

Station Cars, the taxi company that Mr Jones worked for wrote online: "He’s been a member of our tribe for a long time and I can’t begin to explain the amount of shock, grief and sorrow being felt by our entire team at station cars after receiving the news earlier today.

"All our thoughts, prayers and love go out to his family and friends at this heart breaking awful time."

The family have asked for privacy at this difficult time.

Police are appealing for witnesses following the collision.

Sergeant Meurig Jones said: “Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of those involved in the collision during this difficult time.

"The motorcycle was travelling from Coedpoeth towards Wrexham – and we’d appeal to any motorists who may have witnessed the collision or may have seen the motorcycle before the incident to get in contact with us.

"We’d be especially eager to hear from anyone who saw the motorcycle approaching the lights on the junction of the A525 and the A483."
