A MAN charged with damage and arson at HMP Berwyn in Wrexham refused to appear via a link to Mold Crown Court.
Damian John Evans, 29, was due to appear via a live television link from HM Altcourse prison in Liverpool but an officer said he was refusing to come to the television suit for the appearance.
Judge Huw Rees ordered that Evans be produced in court in the week beginning August 23.
Evans is charged with causing damage totalling £1,600 to the prison on August 3 last year, damaging a glass observation panel on August 31 and arson involving a mattress on September 4.
He was remanded in custody in the meantime.
