A SEVENTH man has been charged with involvement in an alleged £100,000 blackmail plot.

Nathan Aidoo, 27, of no fixed abode but who comes from the London area, appeared at Mold Crown Court via a live television link from Altcourse prison in Liverpool.

He pleaded not guilty to making unwarranted demands to a Wrexham businessman for £100,000 in money in December of last year.

Aidoo was remanded in custody to be tried alongside others who have previously denied the charge and whose trial is due to be held in June.

Six men - three of them Polish nationals - previously pleaded not guilty to conspiracy to blackmail.

Defendants James Agyei-Burobey, 25, Clements Avenue, Newham, London; Edwin Boakye, 30, of Colgrave Road in Newham; Jerzy Wasinicwski, 50, Stanley Road in Ponciau, Wrexham; Patryk Dziewiatkowski, 23, of Smithfield Road in Wrexham; Larry Morrison, 32, of Clements Avenue in Newham and Jaroslaw Konopka, 29, of Faircroft Court in Wrexham, were all remanded in custody.
