PLANS have been submitted seeking to create a HMO for up to a dozen people at a former cafe.
Wrexham Council has received a change of use application looking to turn the former corner cafe on Holt Road, near the town centre, into a house of multiple occupation for up to 12 people.
The proposed layout would see the ground floor contain five en-suite bedrooms with a shared kitchen. The first floor would house four en-suite bedrooms and the second floor would have three en-suite bedrooms with a shared kitchen.
A design and access statement submitted with the application states: "The property is within walking distance of the town centre with a wide range of retail and leisure facilities as well as frequent public transport which will encourage reduced reliance on the car as a means of transport.
"The garden area (Holt Road side) will provide a recreational space for residents."
As part of the plans there will be six parking spaces provided as well as laundry drying facilities to be provided in each area.
Wrexham Council planners will make a decision on the proposals at a future date.
