FASHIONISTAS will be packing a club for a charity fashion show that aims to raise a hatful of cash for three worthy charities.
Following the success of an autumn fashion event, Flintshire Council chairman Brian Lloyd and his wife Jean have organised a second event which will show off the spring and summer collection available from Mold store Simmi Womenswear.
Cllr Lloyd says the event will be in aid of the three charities he is supporting throughout his year in office: Claire House Children’s Hospice, Macmillan Cancer Support and Barnardo’s Cymru.
He said: “The show in the autumn was a big success and so many people asked for a spring show I thought it would be a good idea.
“The event will be held at Mold and District Ex-Serviceman’s Club in Wrexham Street on Friday, April 20, starting at 7pm.
"Simone Ellis, who owns Simmi, has agreed to give a percentage of sales to the three charities.
“It will be a lovely evening and I’m delighted with the support we have received.
"The more money I can make for the charities I am supporting, the better."
Cllr Lloyd added: “It’s been an amazing year and I couldn’t be more pleased at the amount of money we have raised for what are three very good causes.”
Simmi Womenswear sales assistant Laura Davies says the very latest fashions and outfits will be on display and modelled on the cat walk, along with a range of scarves, handbags and jewellery.
She said: “It will be a fun shopping experience and we can accept credit or debit cards. And of course there will be a raffle and lots of fun things going on.
"I’d encourage anyone interested in fashion to come along to what will be a great evening.”
Tickets priced £3 are available from Simmi Womenswear in Grosvenor Street, Mold, Vaughn Davies, Wrexham Street, Mold, Bargain Booze, High Street Mold and the Daniel Owen Centre in Mold Precinct.
