A 38-year-old man has been jailed for 27 weeks for a sex offence against a young girl.
Ryan Parry from Buckley had changed his plea to guilty at the start of a trial about engaging in sexual activity with a child.
John Philpotts, prosecuting at Caernarfon Crown Court, said it happened in February last year.
Parry, of Moel View, accepted touching the girl sexually and had at first claimed it was an accident.
When the girl told him to stop he apologised.
His barrister, Ben Jones, said because of the guilty plea the girl had not had to give evidence.
Parry was a sole carer and it was likely that what happened was “a one-off” and he was ashamed and remorseful.
Judge Rees Rowlands told him: “Your behaviour has had a bad effect on the victim, who has difficulty sleeping and flashbacks.
"Only an immediate custodial sentence can be justified.”
Parry has been ordered to sign the Sex Offenders Register and abide by a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
