A new town store has opened, reviving a premises that has been closed for almost a year.

The Mayor of Buckley, Cllr Dennis Hutchinson and the mayoress, Cllr Jeanne Hutchinson, were delighted to open the new Home Bargains store in Buckley.

The store, off The Precinct Way in the town centre, is based in the building which previously housed Budgens but has been empty for a year.

Dignitaries were joined at the opening by town centre manager Andy White, along with the manager of the store, staff and customers.

Cllr Hutchinson said he welcomed Home Bargains to Buckley, stating he wished the store all the success for the future and thanked the company for bringing its services to the town.

The Budgens store closed at the end of March last year after the company went into administration.

A branch of the Co-op was based in the premises until the previous year.
