DAVE Taylor has parted company with Caersws, after a three year association with the Bluebirds.

The Recreation Ground assistant manager is still backing the club to bounce back next season though, following their relegation from the Welsh Premier League.

Taylor said: “I have enjoyed my time with Caersws, which is a fantastic club and it’s been my privilege to have worked so closely alongside so many dedicated people.”

Taylor arrived at the club as assistant to then manager Mike Barton in 2007, following the departure of club legend Mickey Evans.

He then took the helm for a season, before resuming his assistant’s role when Evans returned to the Recreation Ground hot seat last summer.

“This decision was made very amicably and I leave with nothing but good memories of my time with Caersws,” he said.

Caersws chairman Peter Harding thanked Taylor for his three years service for the club and wished him well for the future.

“Dave eats and sleeps football and he has been an excellent person to work with over the last few years,” said Harding. “With the club being relegated we are having to cut our cloth accordingly for next season.

“On behalf of everyone at Caersws Football Club I wish Dave all the best for the future and thank him for all he has done.”
