YOU can’t say no to a move to Manchester City even if you do support the club from the other side of the city.

Talented teenager Morgan Thomas-Sadler - the son of former Wrexham trainee goalkeeper and commercial executive, Phil Sadler - was snapped up by City scouts after another impressive season in the u13s team at Borras Park Albion and with the Wrexham Schoolsboys FA side.

“He’ll be heading to Manchester City to start his scholarship and he’s really looking forward to it,” said proud dad Phil.

“He supports United but once City wanted to sign him, he had no hesitation.

“They’ve been looking at him for six months. Neil Roberts has played a part because he’s at City and has seen him at Borras, while City scout Alan Binnersley has also watched his progress.”

A ball-playing centre back in the John Stones-mould, the 13-year-old Darland School pupil has led his team to glory during the last two seasons in the Wrexham and District Youth League.

“He’s a good leader,” added Phil, who also praised Albion’s manager Mark Tudor for helping in Morgan’s development as a player.

Morgan thanked his family, including another former Wrexham commercial manager, Alan Thomas, for their backing.

“I’d like to thank my family for their support with a thank you to my Grandad, who drives me everywhere when I play.”
