Northop missed the chance to boost their Premier Division survival chances as they suffered a 20-run defeat to Menai Bridge.

Andy Poynton (5-28) and Liam Moores (4-44) ripped through the Menai batting line up to leave the reigning champions in trouble at 78-9.

Menai captain Robbie Jones came to his side's rescue as he struck a 70-ball 79 to see the visitors to 148.

Northop opener Harry Lewis hit 31, but the home side were reduced to 70-7 as Dean Harbour, Ashley Wood and Jones impressed with the ball.

Harry Bartlem (33) and Mark Poynton (26) pushed Northop closer to the victory target, but they both departed and the home side finished 128 all out.

James Claybrook was the star of the show as Premier Division high flyers Brymbo edged to a three-wicket win over Pwllheli.

Claybrook produced the goods with the ball, picking up 5-28 from 10.5 overs to help remove hosts Pwllheli for just 101.

All-rounder Claybrook then top scored with 28 as Brymbo managed to get over the line with three wickets to spare.

An under-strength Hawarden Park saw their four match winning run come to a halt as Denbigh recorded a six-wicket win.

With the likes of Tom Ducker, Campbell Marr and Craig Wilson all missing, overseas professional Sam Underhill took charge of Hawarden's innings, scoring 89 of their 188 all out.

The promoted Bala Subramanian pocketed an impressive 2-26, taking a wicket with his very first ball, but Marlon Welcome-Goodwin struck 86 not out to hand Denbigh victory with 17 overs to spare.

Connah's Quay failed to hold their nerve as they slipped to a nine run defeat at the hands of St Asaph.

Chasing 203 for victory, Quay appeared to be cruising at 182-6 with David Fox (67) and Gareth Jones (31) well set.

But a collapse saw Quay lose their last four wickets for just 11 runs to finish 193 all out, Jason Foulkes removing the key wickets of Fox and Jones on his way to 4-57.

Earlier, Martin Burger had picked up 4-61 to bowl St Asaph out for 202 inside 45 overs, Raazin Allie hitting a half century for the hosts.

Pontblyddyn were undone by a century from Danial Evans as Llandudno wrapped up a 33-run success.

Evans hit 104 as Llandudno posted 230-8, Glenn Chambers (3-47) and Kevin Owen (2-33) doing the damage with the ball.

In reply, Pont were reduced to 57-5, before Brad Aldous (38) and Lewis Davies (36) came together to start a mini revival.

Unfortunately for Pontblyddyn, Aldous and Davies departed and although the tail chipped in, the visitors finished 197 all out.

Duncan Midgley struck a 103-ball 121 on his Mochdre (301-6) debut as they beat Bangor (134) by 167 runs.
