VISIONS of angels have occurred in all manner of weird and wonderful places.

But Linda Tulloch never expected to come face to face with a divine messenger while slicing tomatoes.

Linda, 51, who works as a cook at the Queensferry Hotel in Garden City, Deeside, was stunned when this angelic image was revealed as she prepared the fruit.

She said: “It was about 10pm and I was slicing up the tomato to go in a side salad.

“I served up the meal and then went back into the kitchen so half of it has ended up in somebody’s stomach. I picked up the tomato to put it away in the fridge and spotted the angel straight away. I could even see a faint heart in the middle.

“I thought it must be my imagination but I had another look and it was there as clear as day.

“It was uncanny.”

Linda, who lives in Garden City, took the tomato into the pub to show it to regulars.

Many reached for their mobile phones to capture a photograph of the celestial fruit.

“There were about 30 people in because it was karaoke night and everybody agreed it was an angel,” she said.

“We’ve had a few people coming in asking to have their photo taken with the tomato so word has obviously spread.”

Linda said the fruit was the first Biblical ingredient she had found in her kitchen but doesn’t think her encounter was divine intervention.

She said: “I don’t really believe in fate and to be honest I think it’s just a coincidence.

“At the moment it is being preserved in the pub freezer, but if there is somebody out there who thinks there is more to it then I’m happy to pass it on.”
