THOUSANDS of passengers face travel chaos as a volcanic ash cloud heads towards the UK.
Much of the country is expected to be hit by ash from Iceland's Grímsvötn volcano with flight cancellations already reported.
Passengers are being told to check with airline operators about their flights.
