YSCEIFIOG 1
CEFN 7
SHARP-shooters Cefn warmed up for their meeting with runaway leaders Llandyrnog in the best possible fashion.
Cefn’s Dilwyn Roberts hailed a “fantastic” display from his side as they bagged a magnificent seven at Ysceifiog.
The defending champions went into the match boasting an unbeaten away record and this wasn’t really under threat after they swept into a 5-0 lead at the interval.
Dewi Jones set up Martin King for the opener, before Dilwyn Roberts’ attempted cross hit both of the uprights before nestling into the net.
King turned provider when Owain Roberts made it three-nil, while the remainder of the half belonged to the in-form King, who struck twice more.
He then scored his fourth of the night in the second half and Cefn’s magnificent seventh came from the direction of Dewi Jones.
Joe Mulvey grabbed an Ysceifiog consolation in the second half.
