LLANRHAEADR 10
CAERWYS 0

A FOUR-MIDABLE performance from top marksman Ian Evans has put Llanrhaeadr right into the title mix.

Evans bagged four goals as Llan comfortably defeated the challenge of basement side Caerwys - and they’re now up to second in the table.

A 15th minute Chris Williams penalty set the home side on their way, before Alun Armstrong headed in a Gari Evans corner to double the lead.

A fine Sion Davies strike stretched the lead and Evans soon got in on the act with a low shot.

It was five-nil at half-time as Williams converted his second penalty of the night and there was to be no let-up in the second period from Llanrhaeadr’s point of view, with 15-year-old prospect Rhys Hughes bagging his first senior goal for the club with a great finish.

Williams completed his hat-trick with a third successful spot kick and the remainder of the game became the Ian Evans story, as he struck on three further occasions.

Evans capitalised on good work from Joe Peskett to score his fourth of the night, which takes his tally for the season up to an impressive 11.
