THE call has gone out for people to get on their bikes to raise money for a good cause.

Barnardo’s North Wales Bike Ride is back for a third year and the charity wants as many people as possible to join it for the annual 14-mile family-friendly ride.

The ride, from Pensarn to Rhos-on-Sea and back, takes place on Sunday, June 26 and coincides with Bike Week (www.bikeweek.org.uk).

Apart from raising valuable funds this is a great chance to take in beautiful coastline from the safety of the designated cycle path.

The event starts at 10am and entry is £8 per adult but it is free for children who are being asked to raise a minimum of £25 minimum in sponsorship.

A certificate will be given to each rider who completes the course and there are trophies for teams and individuals raising the most money.
